A candidate is to offer the following :

(A)     (i)   English

                        H.S. 1st Year        =        100 marks

                        H.S. 2nd Year       =        100 marks

           (ii)   MIL ( Assamese, Hindi, Alt. English)

                        H.S. 1st Year        =        100 marks

                        H.S. 2nd Year       =        100 marks

Subject combination (H.S. course) : A student can opt for any subject in their combination except the followings from which one combination may be as follows :

            (a)   Maths / H. Sc. / Ad. Hindi

            (b)   H.Sc. / Anthro / Maths / Addl. Ass.

            (c)   H.Sc. / Geo./ Maths / Alt. Ass.

            (d)   H.Sc./ Stat / Alt. Ass / Ad. Hindi

            (e)   Maths / Hist

            (f)   Alt. Ass & L/P.

(B)  Elective Subjects :

            (i)   Four elective subjects from a stream as in above can be selected. In the final result only the best three subjects marks will be accounted for.

            (ii)   In H.S. 1st Year Annual Examination the student is to sit for papers of 100 marks each. In the 2nd Year Examination (final) a student sits for a 100 marks paper for each elective subject and for subject with practical is of 70 marks theory and 30 marks practical.

            (iii)  The AHSE Council sets the question papers for the 1st Year Annual Examination and the result is declared by the Council.
