Establishment : In response to Letter No SDM/MISC/02/311, the Deputy
Director of NCC wasauthorized to Group H.Q to raise a senior Division in our college and the said wing was established in Sankardeva Mahavidyalaya in 2002. The first Care Taker Officer was Mr. Bhaba Kanta Dutta,HOD of History.
Strength of the Unit : One CTO has already selected for three months training at
Kamptee.

Activities last 3 years :
1. CATC, Solmara:
A combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) was organized by 5 Assam Bn, NCC, Tezpur, held at Solmara (Tezpur) from 20th Jan.to 2nd Feb.’2005. the camp commandant was Lt. Col. Jayant Purohit. 29 Boys Cadets of our college participated in this camp. The performance of our cadets were:-
i. Solo Song - 1st position.
ii. Solo Dance - 1st position.
iii. Group Song - 1st position.
iv. Group Dance - 1st position.
v. Drill - 3rd position
vi. Best College Award.
2. Special NIC, Kohima:
Special National Integration Camp (NIC) 2005 held at Chakabama, Kohima from 28th Nov. to 9th Dec.’2005. 4 cadets were selected for participation.
The achievements of the said camp was as follows:
1st position in Solo Song
2nd position in Group Dance.
3.CATC, Likabali:
The camp was organized by Arunachal Pradesh NCC, Bn. Naharlagun at Likabali from 6th March to 17th March’06. The total number of participants from our college was 20 and the activities in the said camp was –
a. Rifle firing.
b. Parasailing
c. Cultural Competition.
In the cultural competition of the said camp, our participants able to get the following prizes.
i. Solo Song - 1st position.
ii. Group Song - 1st position.
iii. Group Dance - 1st position.
iv. Solo Dance - 3rd position
v. Drill competition - 3rd position
vi. Layout competition- 3rd position
Community Service : 1. Social awareness Camp on Polio, AIDS, Plantation,
2. A social service camp was organized for a week at Kamalabari Satra, Majuli and 40 cadets were participated in the said camp.
3. A three day Social Service Camp was held at Jawaharjyoti Higher Secondary School on 15th Feb’06 to 17th Feb’06 both Boys & Girls Cadets were participate in the Camp. A total No. of participants were 30.
